[Fixed in build 2014] Memory leak and CPU issue

We have a report from a user that Hook can consume large amounts of CPU and large amounts of memory. This is not something we have seen ourselves or other users had told us about, so we cannot estimate the % of users that might have it. However, the report is definitely of an issue. If you experience this issue, please respond to this thread.

CSA-Issue#3010

I upgraded to the latest version this morning and am using Hook for a research project on the Mac. So far no indication of memory issues. Hook itself seems stable, at least insofar as it stays running over log periods.

At this point, it looks like the problem is with an old build of Hook. Not with the version that was released publicly.

Yay! We have managed to reproduce the memory issue. And are narrowing it down.

The software development team identified and resolved the problem. I have published a new build (2014) that addresses this issue, and also has some enhancements:
Hook 1.0-public beta build 2014 is now available (built 2019-02-12) - Releases - Hook Productivity Forum.

I’ve also tested that the software mechanism finds the update and installs it.
