Error with Link to Things

In Things I created a link to a to-do with Hookmark and inserted that link into an Excel spreadsheet. When I click on that link in Excel, Things is activated, but I get the same error as in 6248:

The link itself looks like this:

I even tried it with a triple slash before the “open” keyword but still get the same error.

The Hook-link works fine from any other app (e.g. DEVONthink) but only returns the error when clicked in Excel. It makes no difference if I tell Hookmark to copy as “normal” or as “universal” link.

It seems Excel automatically changes two or more consecutive slashes in a hyperlink to one slash when you try to open it. I can’t find any settings to turn this off.

For now, you can copy the link and open it via spotlight search as a workaround. We’ll look into possible solutions for this issue.
