Version 170 of Hook integration adds supports for Merlin Project, an app by ProjectWizards.
When you are managing a project, you need to quickly access all kinds of information. So this integration with Merlin Project is going to be very useful for project managers. It allows you to copy links to items in Merlin Project and even hook them to all kinds of information: whether it is inside or outside Merlin Project. For instance, you could link Merlin Project info to a file in Finder, email, web pages and more.
This first round of compatibility with Merlin Project is UI-scripted.
Version 7.5 of Merlin Project, which we are told will be released soon, has an AppleScript API for linking. We’ve internally created a script to use it. After Merlin Project 7.5 is released, we at CogSci Apps will update Hook’s integration service to use Merlin Project’s API. That will make the support available in all languages, and will be more robust.
How to get the updated integration
Hook’s automatic software update (if enabled) automatically updates Hook’s integration scripts without you needing to relaunch Hook. Using Hook’s Check for App Updates and Update Scripts command also updates the scripts, without you needing to relaunch Hook.
