I’ve been playing around with Universal Links and really like the proposed functionality. However, I’m experiencing inconsistencies with performance, and I’m receiving a lot of error messages saying that I’m not using them so far when I indeed am.
I’m wondering if I’m doing anything wrong here. If I create a universal link to an email and click on that link on iOS, should that email then open up on iOS? I’m also getting error messages when placing universal links in applications. What should we NOT be doing when using universal links?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you! Are there any known limitations beyond what has been listed on the webpage that users should be aware of. Wondering what will happen to items that have been linked when Universal Links don’t function. Are they gone for good? Or will they function properly once fixed?
Anyone know anything here? Trying to figure out if I can continue to use Universal links. As these are not stored it will be tough to track items if these links do not function properly. Thanks!
By happenstance(?) I just attempted to open the forum in Safari by typing dis in the search bar and enter when the url appeared and opened to the following.
Hookmark Universal Link did not work
It looks like you have clicked on a universal link but are using a web browser other than Safari. Only Safari supports universal links. Consider using that link in Safari. For more information see Universal Links on the Hookmark help site.
Or perhaps you have not yet installed or upgraded to Hookmark version 5. The free Hookmark Basic enables you to use Hookmark’s universal links.
I’m hoping there’s a quick fix here. Is this something that you all are working on? Really excited about the idea of universal links, especially for documenting in some systems that don’t support Hookmark links.
