is there a way to get the file attachment to appear as it would if it were simply linked - i.e., drag-dropped from the finder?
That has more to do with link resolution inside Obsidian than link creation in Hookmark. Perhaps someone could write a community add-in that resolves the redirection of Hookmark links? Obsidian Forum
It would also be interesting to see what link resolution is attempted by Obsidian and whether Hookmark has any influence on that?
