Selective Sync Conflict

Recently, after installing Mac OS 15.5 i get in addition to the hookmark_share additional folders with the nameextension (Selective Sync Conflict xx) with xx=number.
How to resolve this problem becaus it fills me Dropbox account.

Kind regards,
Jo

Welcome to Hookmark forum, @Jomoens .

Is your Hookmark sync folder in Dropbox and you have multiple sync folder?

Could you please post a screenshot of these folders?

Thank you

Attached a screenshot of the folders that are created every +/- 3 minutes. I came to delete the old folders.

Kind regards,
Jo

The folders are situated in Dropbox. I have only one shared folder.

Kind regards,
Jo

An update after a few minutes.

Thank you, @Jomoens .

Are there any files in HOOKMARK_SHARE folder and those conflict ones? If this is the folder for sync, could you please turn off sync and see if there is any difference?

Also could you please check the read/write permission of HOOKMARK_SHARE folder?

Thank you

Hallo,

  • There are files in the HOOKMARK_SHARE folder but none in the conflict ones.
  • I turned off the sync: no difference.
  • Read/Write of the HOOKMARK_SHARE folder: Read/Write is possible.
    Kind Regards
    Jo

I need to make a correction. When the sync is turned off, there is no problem anymore.

Excuse.
Kind regards,
Jo

Thank you, @Jomoens .
It seems Hookmark can’t detect HOOKMARK_SHARE folder for some reason and tries to create the folder again.

Could you please
(1)quit Hookmark from all your macs,
(2)remove all conflict files from you Dropbox account,
(3)rename the original HOOKMARK_SHARE to HOOKMARK_SHARE_OLD?

When you see those conflict files are not on your mac any more, HOOKMARK_SHARE folder is renamed, then start Hookmark and turn on sync again. See if it resolves the issue.
