Rewriting the title of links

I’m fed up with how social media sites add alarm counts to the title of their posts. E.g., this substack link:

(2) A Platonic Space background for questions in consciousness

We plan to improve Hookmark so that it can remove these numbers which pollute the title of the link. So the link would become:

A Platonic Space background for questions in consciousness.

This applies to LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, etc.

Thoughts?

Yes, these are very annoying to be sure. My only question is - is there any downside to removing them?

They are ephemeral. the numeric count changes moment to moment. They are irrelevant.

They are pointless and annoying. Get rid of them.
