We’ve updated the Using Hook with Obsidian – Hook page. It now includes a section on Getting hook://file/ URLs. That section contains a (JavaScript) script you can paste in the Hook > Preferences > Scripts tab > Obsidian > Get Address pane . That would override Hook’s built-in script for Obsidian which returns obsidian://open? URLs.
