I have used Hook with Evernote and it has worked perfectly. In the last couple of weeks, links no longer work. I’ve copied the links into other programs and they work fine. Evernote has made a lot of changes in the last month, so I’m sure the problem is with Evernote. Anyone else having issues?
I am using version 10.80.3 of Evernote and Version 6.1 (5967; Integration v. 318) of Hookmark.
Thanks @bchend, the universal link does seem to work, although I cannot create a shortcut for this and have to select the Hook app from the Menubar. Is there a way to create a shortcut for this? I can’t see one in preferences. Best, Mr. P.
Hi @bchend, with the latest update to Hookmark, the option to select Universal links when using a keyboard shortcut is no longer available. Is this intentional or a bug? There is now no way to link documents in Evernote?! Mr P.
Hi @bchend, thanks for getting back to me and for clearing that up. What would be even more helpful is to have a universal link in the main context menu rather than an dropdown, and to be able to change the keyboard shortcut. Is this possible? Best, Mr. P
Hi @bchend, I have tried the workaround you suggest but am unable to specifically create a shortcut for a Universal link as follows: this does not work
Sorry, it seems the shortcut of an alternative menu item is hard to customized. We will change the menu items of universal links to non-alternative in next release.
On my mac, I also customize the shortcut for “Copy Link”, that’s why the shortcut customization for “Copy As Universal Link” has effect. You can give it a try.
Also you need make sure the shortcut is not used by other menu items.
The change does not have effect right away. Wait some time and restart Hookmark.
Hi @MrP, were you a user when the Hookmark app was still called Hook? I think your shortcut should instead be defined for the Hookmark app, not for Hook.app like in your screenshot.
Although I couldn’t make it work. But I see that Hookmark 6.4 (or another one of the recent versions) updated its context menu and I quite like it as it is now.
Hi @bchend, thanks for your comments. I’ve tried tinkering with it as you suggested, but I can’t get it to work. It’s great that you plan to amend it in the next update. For me, the simplest way to resolve this is to have a shortcut option for universal link here:
