Hi,
I want to disable activating Hook when a certain app is active. Is this possible?
Welcome to the Hook Productivity Forum , @rccalma . Thanks for asking.
It’s not yet possible. we’ll take that as a feature request.
Is it so that the keyboard shortcut not be captured by a certain app? there is also this: Hook supports two global shortcuts for invoking Hook, and they can be disabled on Shortcuts Tab.
I would like to second this feature request. I am using an app called “NoScribe” to transcribe interviews. There is a shortcut ^+SPACE to Pause/Play which I’d think is a convenient layout. However, my HM context window shortcut is ^+SPACE as well (again: quite convenient). I tried to change NoScribe’s Play/Pause Action to ^+P but it is not as fast as ^+SPACE.
If you have something like BetterTouchTool or Keyboard Maestro, you could create a macro for activating Hookmark and use the standard Hookmark shortcut for invoking that macro.
E.g. you could make the shortcut to invoke Hookmark something like STR+ALT+R+K+L, something that isn’t used anywhere.
Then only allow that macro to be invoked when those apps are inactive.
Might work with the Shortcuts app, but I’m not sure since I don’t use it.
