AI chats are very useful, but they’re even more useful when they are connected to the things they are about. Otherwise, it is too much trouble later to get back to them. Have you noticed that?
We’ve just published a 4-minute video on How to Keep Useful AI Conversations at Your Fingertips:
This screencasts shows you the value of connecting your AI chats to what they are about: e.g.,
a PDF, web page, ebook ↔ AI chat.
a YouTube video ↔ AI chat.
Long emails ↔ AI chat.
a draft ↔ AI chat.
Items in DEVONthink ↔ AI chat.
Product web pages ↔ AI chat.
So you can immediately navigate from any resource to the AI chat.
Please let us know what you think. How do you use AI and Hookmark together?
Yes via web app. I haven’t tried their desktop applications. We don’t have a specific script for it, and I don’t know if it is link-friendly. Has anyone tried that?
A very useful feature of Hookmark is the ability to hook to a specific time in YouTube videos. Can Hookmark do something similar with ChatGPT or Claude, that is hook to a point within the AI chat. This would be useful as some chats can get quite long.
Unfortunately, as far as I know, ChatGPT doesn’t expose locations in chats.
A workaround would be to convert the webpage to a PDF and then use Hookmark to get a deep link, but I haven’t found a way to get a good printout of a ChatGPT chat.
