Hookmark for Academics and Researchers

Hookmark is useful for anyone who does knowledge-intensive work with multiple knowledge resources. We have added a Solutions we page to our website that will link to pages that describe how Hookmark solves problems for:

If you are an academic (student, professor and/or researcher) considering using Hookmark, please check out this web page.

This looks like a great use case for Hookmark. Research projects naturally span PDFs, reference managers, notes, drafts, datasets, emails, and task lists, and being able to create durable links between all of them can save a lot of time that would otherwise be spent searching. I also like that it works with existing apps instead of requiring everything to live in a single knowledge management system, which makes it much easier to fit into an established academic workflow.

Yes, well before we designed Hookmark, I resisted using database-based knowledge management software —bucket software. I wanted to be able to use all kinds of tools that act directly in Finder. EagleFiler follows that philosophy.

So we designed Hookmark to work with information wherever it lives, and didn’t replace other software.
