Hookmark doesn't find linkable items anywhere

Hi,

For the past few days, Hookmark hasn’t found linkable items in any of the apps where it used to work. For example, bringing up the context window when a tab in Chrome had focus would result in a hook being created to that page. Now, the context window says: “No linkable item found in Google Chrome”. Similarly, if a task in OmniFocus was selected, Hookmark would create a hook to that, but no longer. The same applies to the countless other apps I use with Hookmark.

Has anyone else had this issue and been able to fix it? Thanks.

Hookmark v5.0 (5317) - Scripts v263
macOS v12.6.3

Sorry for the trouble.

Could you please give the following a try?

1.1 Your accessibility permission database is corrupted

The macOS accessibility permissions database can get confused. In that case you might see strange behavior like not being able to disable or enable permissions for an app. In that case, you may reset Accessibility for Hookmark as follows:

  1. tccutil reset Accessibility com.cogsciapps.hook
  2. Reboot your Mac.

Thank you

Thanks, that’s fixed it!

I’m seeing the same problem.

Is that a Terminal command?

Yes, that is a Terminal command, @SCCSaluda.
