Hook Version 3.4.2 (4614) is now available

Hook version 3.4.2 (4614; Integration v. 196) is now available for download from its release notes page.

This release fixes a crash that happened on macOS 10.12 to macOS 10.15 in Hook’s search mode (⌘F). There was no such crash on macOS 11 or macOS 12.

Hook 4.3.2 also contains several software integration updates (v. 196 in About Hook window). However, if you’ve enabled automatic integration updates you will have received them already.

Version 196 of Hook’s software integration no longer uses Python, because Apple is removing Python from macOS in macOS 12.3. So if you’re on macOS 12, do make sure you get this update.

Eligibility for updates

Hook software updates are free to any Hook CogSci Apps customer with a Hook Updates license that was valid at the time the update was released. Hook Pro and Hook Essentials each come with one year of free access to software updates.

If your Hook Updates license has expired and you apply this update, please note that Hook will revert to Lite mode until you purchase and apply an Updates license. However, you can also revert to a previous version of Hook that was released during your Updates License period. Upgrading from Essentials to Pro includes an additional 12-month Updates license.
