Hook to Copied Link is always grayed out

I’m trying to use HookMark but the Hook to copied link functionality is always greyed out. I always make sure to Copy a Link first and then hook another

Late to the game, but let me hazard a guess: you have/had a third party clipboard manager installed that interfered with HM, right? I had the exact same problem while running Copy'em alongside HookMark, and disabling it solved my issue.
