Hook + Quip Desktop App

I use Quip throughout the day. While I can easily use Hook and Quip if I use Quip in a browser but I use it most often with the Mac desktop app which can’t link to a quip doc. Anyone else dealt with this?

Does the UI have a copy URL method in it? if so could you share some sample URLs that it delivers?
