First renaming in ^H context does not work

  • Create a new Apple Notes
  • Change its title for the sake of the test
  • Press ^H
  • Hookmark opens with the note title
  • Press control-shift-r
  • Rename the note (press enter once done) (cursor is blue on blue, very hard to see)
  • Add a tag to the note
  • Close the helper
  • Call the bookmark list
  • The note still has its old title (but the tag is here)
  • Renaming works fine in this list.

Note: this only happens at first “bookmark” for a given object. Subsequent calls of ^H on the same object will allow renaming with success.

I am not able to reproduce the issue. Hookmark Version 6.3, macOS 14.6.1 (23G93).

I’m on macOS Sonoma 14.4, with the same Hookmark build.

I made a recording to show I’m not completely crazy. Its quality is very bad but I think it’s good enough to show what I do.

Thank you, @octplane .

We will investigate.

Just curious, if you copy the link and THEN rename does it work?

Of course, it’s working very well on my other older laptop so this is likely something in the context of my work machine.
