Finder window opening on make hookmark file

Hello,

I make extensive use of Hookmark files.

When I make them, however, the Finder window where they are located opens when I make them. While this is useful, can that behavior be changed?

I hope I put this in the right spot.

In the General Preferences Tab – Hookmark, you can uncheck

Reveal hook://file link targets in Finder (rather than opening them)

Going into Prefs/ General/ Linking/ Reveal hook://file link targets in Finder (rather than opening them) and unchecking it still reveals the file. Checking also reveals the file.

Am I in the right spot in prefs?
