Duplicate App Identifiers

I have Multimate and Airmail both installed on my computer. Multimate is set as the default mail application.

When I create a hook to an email in Multimate and then try to access that link, it opens Airmail rather than Multimate. It appears that is because they both share the “email” URL identifier.

What determines which app takes precedence in Hook if there are multiple applications using the same URL scheme?

This is controlled by Hook > Preferences > Favorite Apps Tab – Hook.

When you activate a hook://email link, Hook will request whatever app you have specified there to open the email message.
