Deleted bookmarks come back

Sorry, I might misunderstand. When you say “broken links” or “dead links”, do you mean you don’t need those links or the bookmarks those links refer to no longer exist, and you want to get rid of them? What types of links are they? E.g., a file link refers to a file that does not exist anymore.

Thank you

The majority are links which the target no longer exists between Agenda, Bear, OmniFocus and other data base type locations as well as web links which were created in those apps but no longer exist. A very small percentage are hook-file links.

Thank you for the info, @bnm3215 .

Do you mean you try deleting those links, but they keep coming back?

Are you using iCloud sync?

Thank you and sorry about the issue.

Sorry for the confusion, it should have been a separate post.

The following steps are taken with Hookmark closed.

My problem is that zipping the /com.cogsciapps.hook folder- saving the zipped folder- extracting the zip in ~/Library/Application Support/.

The number of links have not changed.

Thank you, @bnm3215 .

Sorry, for non-file bookmarks, Hookmark is not able to detect their existence.

I think your suggestion is great! We will look into this.
