Late to the party on hook files. I’ve been using Hookmark for a couple of years, mostly linking multiple (DB) apps together with Agenda as my focus app. Lately after trying out the use of Hook files for project folders I finally found another use for the little jewel, saving DB app space. In the two examples below, one is simply a hookmark file to an image to use in Agenda or wherever utilizing the apps’ own attachment object. The second example is linking to the image then making a hook file of the link. The first example is 1.9MB, same as just dragging an image in, creating an in-app attachment. The downside to the second example is not getting a frameless preview as you do attaching straight to the app, BUT it costs only 79 bytes in the Agenda Db. I have a lot of PDFs that are over 5MB and the same applies to other files as well, spreadsheets, charts, etc.
