I just checked . . . I am now on 38 as well and “Copy Special” is still not an option. Hmm
Finally, I found what was hurdling you @sacoward.
From the v39 release notes:
- Dynamic Toolbar
- The ability to copy locations as “A Logos4 Link” has been removed from the Copy Special menu (View discussion).
- Existing logos4 links will continue to function.
Since you were affected earlier than us by it, I suppose you’re a Beta user of Logos?
So this is sunsetting the ability to create new L4 links!
I will (soonish) try URL
links (ref.ly
) again, to see if they indeed are now our new best friend.
Update: I tried them in a few apps and they now work just as well as L4
links. Which is great because in any case we couldn’t elect to create new L4 links now. No need to update Hookmark’s integration script - the keyboard shortcut it uses didn’t change.
@danieljomphe Thank you for the followup. That answers the question.
Just got off chat with Logos tech support. The L4 feature has been deprecated and is replaced in Share > Copy link… from the menubar of a resource with a ref.ly link that opens in a browser, for example: [https://ref.ly/Ps23.1-4;bkc](Psalm 23:1–4 in Bible Knowledge Commentary). It requires the person opening the link to be logged into a Logos account and either own the resource or buy it.
