One of my many uses of Hook is linking blog post material together.
I normally write my blog posts using a text editor (always in Markdown). I preview the post with Marked2. When I’m done the first draft, I copy/paste it into WordPress. When it’s ready, I publish it.
I use Hook to link:
- the source file on my Mac,
- ancillary material (the “inputs”) to my new post, if any,
- the published web page, and the
- the WordPress edit page,
Now that we are using Discourse: if there’s a forum topic on the blog page, I link to that too.
That way, at any time I can navigate between these related documents very quickly.
We will tweak Hook to work even better with Discourse.
How do you use Hook to blog better?
