Updating links when dragging/dropping between applications

I use mailmate and DevonThink. At times I drag emails from mailmate into DevonThink to archive them there, then delete them in mailmate. If such a message was the target of a hook link, the link is broken after the message got deleted.

It would be helpful if the drag operation of items that have hook links on them could (optionally) have their links updated to the new item created by the drag operation.

Thanks for bringing this case to our attention. Yes, the drag actually creates a new copy in DEVONthink. It is consistent with our aim for robustness to handle this difficult case. We have something in mind for this kind of thing :slight_smile: I’ve added this use case to that feature set.
