# Request: Add kMDItemWhereFroms to "Hook to New"

I use SiteSucker to keep an archive of sites and it applies metadata:kMDItemWhereFroms to the HTML files which makes it easy to search for those files by URL in Finder. It would be great if “Hook to New” applied the URL to the xattr kMDItemWhereFroms tag when taking notes on a site. Thoughts?

Welcome to the Hook Productivity Forum , @SteveMoser and thanks for asking. Hook originally added xattributes, but we removed the feature with the intention of adding a preference for those who want them.
