# Remove file extensions by default?

Is it possible to disable the inclusion of file extensions by default?

Whenever I hook a PDF (say, “encyclopedia”, Hookmark automatically makes the title “encyclopedia.pdf”. I do not want to include the file format in the title.

I cannot find a way to disable it through the settings.

It’s not there yet, but very good feature suggestion. For now, this would be a good task to offload to Hazel, I think.  
Hookmark can generate lot of files via `Make Hookmark File` and `Hook to New`. Hazel can use them. Via AppleScript one can query Hookmark about the file too.
