# Hook with bear does not work

Hello,
Hookmark used to work with Bear in the past, but I was using apple notes for a while. I’m back to using Bear 2 but it doesn’t seem to be able to find anything to hook anymore.
Am I doing something wrong or is this expected behavior?

Welcome to Hookmark forum, @shiveenp .
Hookmark uses the following shortcut to get Bear’s note URL:
option+shift+command+L
Are there any other apps using this shortcut as global shortcut?
If you select a Bear note, try this shortcut, what do you get?

hi @bchend there seems to be no other app using this shortcut (I checked by simply invoking it and nothing happened).

If you select a Bear note, type option+shift+command+L and paste in a document, what do you get? Do you get something like below?

Hello! I’m having the exact same problem as @shiveenp, just almost 2 years later 😆
If I type ⌥ + ⇧ + ⌘ + L with a Bear note selected, it does indeed give me the callback URL. I can then add this manually as a bookmark in Hookmark, but defeats the point a bit 🤣
But if I try it by invoking Hookmark (⌘ + H) – I get the ‘No linkable item’ message.

Could you please update your Hookmark script and see if the issue is fixed? (Hookmark preference window-\>Update-\>Check now)
