# Hook to New with The Archive

Greetings!
I’m trying to get started using Hook with The Archive
Is it possible to use “Hook to New” to create a new note in The Archive? I tried simply having Hook put a .txt file in The Archive’s folder but there don’t seem to be any link back when I do that! thanks in advance

No it’s not possible, unless The Archive has added some AppleScript. Last time we checked it was [not linkable via automation](https://hookproductivity.com/help/integration/data-linkability-and-why-it-matters/).
We recommend getting [in touch with the developer](https://hookproductivity.com/help/integration/other-app-developers/) or selecting an app whose dev values automation. It’s the best way to connect knowledge. An app is not truly linkable without it: [Manifesto for Ubiquitous Linking](https://linkingmanifesto.org/).
