# Hook links to PDF Expert stop working!

I just downloaded Skim to test the deep link but couldn’t open it. Clicking on the Hook link directs to where the file is in Finder but does not open it. And then somehow all the Hook links to all the PDF expert stop working !

Could you please open Hook preferences window, in General Pane → Linking, is the checkbox for "Reveal hook://file link targets in Finder(rather than opening them) on? If yes, please uncheck it and see if it solves the problem.

Do you mean Hook does nothing or reveal them in Finder?

Pasted Hook link only reveals the file in Finder but does not open it. However, when I open the Hook links from Hook bookmark window, it does open the file.
Actually, I tested other Hook links to different apps (Pages, Scapple, …) and they stop opening up the file but only to reveal in Finder.

Just want to make sure, is “Reveal hook://file link targets in Finder(rather than opening them)” turned on or not in Hook Preferences window -\>General?
