Sorry for what surely has to be a dumb question 😕

How do I actually just link 2 files together directly from open apps without browsing for files to drag into the taskbar icon?

For example, let’s say I can’t mark up a pdf, so I want a .pages file to accompany that file.

I open the pdf, open hook, copy the hook with ctrl+c, open pages, copy that hook… and then how do I actually get them to show up in hook whenever that file is open?

Sorry if this isn’t well communicated. It’s really hard to explain what I mean. Another way to say it is:

- I can link files by using FINDER, now how can I do that from within linkable apps themselves

Thank you for asking this question! A very good question.
Here is what you can do:
(1)Open the pdf, open Hook, “Copy link” with command+c
(2)Open pages, open Hook, “Hook to copied link” with command+v. You can find “Hook to copied link” menu item in the action menu or context menu.

Correct me if I misunderstood your question.

Thank you
