# 6.1 - Bookmarks Window Shows Duplicate Entries

Hookmark 6.1 (5967) I’ve spotted a few instances in the Bookmarks window where there seem to be consecutive identical rows (same file reference, same set of linked items in the context window).

And they are duplicates - adding a tag to one of the duplicate items adds the tag to all of them.

Could you please tell me which section (window, panel) the duplicate items are displayed? Thank you. Did you use the Sync feature of Hookmark?

In the bookmarks pane, non tabular view. Not used Sync feature.

If I delete one of the duplicated entries, all the duplicated entries are deleted.

Is this in All bookmarks view? How many bookmarks do you have?
Do all your bookmarks have duplicate items? If not, could you please post the screenshot of the bookmarks that don’t duplicates?

It shows up in both All bookmark and Tag views. I have over 600 bookmarks.

Only a subset of bookmarks duplicate. I can’t give a specific scenario in which they occur. However, I will state that I use tags, rename tags, and use “Copy all hooked links” fairly frequently.
And “interestingly”, if I delete one of the duplicated entries, all the duplicated entries for that specific object also are deleted (so they must be related in some fashion)

Now using Version 6.11.1 (6345; Integration v. 384) but the bug has been around for months.
c 4100 bookmarks.
It has occurred many times - see attached.

Probably some while ago.
Out of interest I’ve looked at the Recent list of bookmarks to see if this stopped some while ago - that is also showing 5 sets of duplicates, so it looks as though it is continuing to sometimes create duplicates.

Regarding those duplicates, do you happen to remember what you did with them? I am trying to reproduce the problem on my mac. But so far, no luck.
